Honor Guard

The main purpose of the Tyngsborough Police Department Honor Guard is to honor and stand watch over law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as to honor those officers who have served our community in the past and have passed on. Our Honor Guard Team takes pride in the law enforcement profession and strives to represent our agency and community with the highest of values, presenting a positive and professional image to the public. The officers who are assigned to this unit by the Chief of Police must adhere to strict standards of professionalism, integrity and dedication to our community, our agency, and our profession. Other events that the Honor Guard will take part in include civic events where the team will post and retire the colors, award ceremonies, and all other events that fall within the parameters of the Honor Guard’s supporting role and responsibilities.
