You’ll be required to submit the following documents.
Business Owner
Business owner firearms applicants who are applying for a License to Carry or Firearms Identification Card are required to submit the following documentation:
- Check payable to the town of Tyngsborough
- Completed LTC/FID Application
- Copy of Safety Course Certificate (LTC/FID Massachusetts Basic Firearms Safety Course)
- Two Reference Letters
- Proof of business ownership in the town of Tyngsborough
- Massachusetts LTC/FID affidavit – RENEWALS ONLY
Failure to submit all required documents could result in application being denied.
Individual - New
License to Carry or Firearms Identification Card are required to submit the following documentation:
- Check payable to the town of Tyngsborough
- Completed LTC/FID Application
- Copy of Safety Course Certificate (LTC/FID Massachusetts Basic Firearms Safety Course)
- Two Reference Letters
- Proof of Tyngsborough Residency; Any one of the following serves as verification: Utility bill, lease agreement, tax bill from the Town of Tyngsborough (Excise or Property), bank or credit card statement or most recent paystub.

Individual - Renewal
Renewal Firearms Applicants who are applying for License to Carry or Identification Card are required to submit the following documentation:
- Check payable to the town of Tyngsborough
- Completed LTC/FID Application
- Proof of Tyngsborough Residency; Any one of the following serves as verification: Utility bill, lease agreement, tax bill from the Town of Tyngsborough (Excise or Property), bank or credit card statement or most recent pay stub.
- Massachusetts LTC/FID affidavit
