Tyngsborough Police Department Launches New Website

TYNGSBOROUGH — Chief Richard D. Howe and the Tyngsborough Police Department are pleased to announce the launch of the department’s new website.

The new website has a more modern design, and allows residents easier access to a variety of forms and licensing information. Residents can also learn more about the many aspects of the department, including the bicycle patrol, the Tyngsborough Police Honor Guard and the School Resource Officer Division, which works to keep schools and children safe.

The site also provides information about the Safe Home Project, which is a system designed to help officers locate residents with cognitive impairments, including those with autism or Alzheimer’s. The program is used to help locate and ensure the safety of individuals with these impairments by wearing a transponder that connects to the SafetyNet systems in officers’ vehicles.

Information about other services the department provides featured on the site includes behavioral health assistance, drug prevention and vehicle lock-outs.

The website now offers a video gallery featuring informational videos, which includes an introduction to the Front Line Mental Health Initiative that the department is taking part in. The initiative focuses on striving towards upholding policing best practices to ensure both the community and the department remain connected and safe.

The website also makes it easier for members of the public to interact with the Tyngsborough Police Department, including mechanisms to request public records, file reports on reckless drivers, and issue complaints/complements about officers in the department.

“A significant amount of time and effort went into this website, I want to thank all members of our team who helped with this new website design, including the team at town hall, and John Guilfoil Public Relations, who designed the site,” Chief Howe said. “We are excited to launch the new user-friendly website, making it easier to navigate, so residents and visitors can quickly find answers to their questions and learn more about the department.”

The new website was designed by John Guilfoil Public Relations.
