Sgt. Charles Melanson and Officer Matthew Koziol are both assigned as SROs at Greater Lowell Technical High School, while Officer Christopher Gustafson serves as the SRO for the Tyngsborough Public Schools.

All three SROs have completed the 40-hour National Association of School Resource Officers certification training, as well as state-mandated SRO training to become state certified as SROs with the POST Commission.

“Our School Resource Officers do a fantastic job at keeping our schools safe and at representing our department at many community policing events,” said Deputy Chief Shaun Woods. “Chief Howe and I appreciate the work they put in and are thankful for the great relationships we have built with all of the school systems within our community.”
