TYNGSBOROUGH — Tyngsborough Police responded to threats against Tyngsborough Elementary School this morning. Upon arrival, officers quickly determined that the threat was not credible. Officers are at the school. Staff and students are safe.
At approximately 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, Tyngsborough Police received a call where the caller made threats against the school. While the Police responded, the school followed A.L.I.C.E. standardized protocols, which included locking down the building.
Tyngsborough Police were assisted by State Police resources to ensure the safety of everyone at the school while also being diligent and thorough in their investigation.
The officers remain at the school while they continue their investigation. Tyngsborough Police and the School Department will provide a joint statement and update later today.
