For public safety purposes, the following travel restrictions will be in effect during the Tyngsborough Block Party by the Bridge on Saturday, August 29, 2026.
Tyngsborough Block Party Travel Restrictions 2026
- Kendall Road (Route 113) will be closed to through traffic from Bryant Lane to Middlesex Road from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Winslow Road will be closed to through traffic from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- The Tyngsborough Bridge will be temporarily closed to vehicles and pedestrians from approximately 7:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. to allow the fireworks barge to safely pass underneath the bridge.
- The Tyngsborough Bridge will be temporarily closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic for the duration of the fireworks display, from approximately 8:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- The Merrimack River will be closed to civilian boat traffic in the vicinity of the Tyngsborough Bridge from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Marine patrols from the Massachusetts Environmental Police, Tyngsborough Police Department, and Tyngsborough Fire Department will be on scene enforcing a 280-foot safety zone around the fireworks barge. The safety zone will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a partial river closure. At 7:00 p.m., all marine traffic will be halted in the area extending 560 feet south of the Tyngsborough Bridge until the completion of the event.
Public safety vessels assisting with the event may be contacted via VHF-FM Channels 13 and 16. Mariners are advised to use caution when transiting the area.
